Say no to distractions, awkward networking and your laundry*.
Say yes to the kind of momentum you can’t find at home.
*For the day, at least.
Working alone is hard
Home’s full of distractions. Cafés are loud. And networking events are half small talk and half thinking “when can I escape without being rude?”. You need a framework that makes focus automatic and motivation optional.
That’s WRK HRS.
One whole day to feel organised, capable and a little bit smug about it. It’s the kind where your list gets shorter and you feel like the person who’s got it together.
It doesn’t have to be a slog
Work is allowed to feel calm, creative, even a little bit fun. Especially when you work for yourself and you’re surrounded by others doing the same.
What is WRK HRS?
WRK HRS is Wagga’s anti-office coworking club, built for business owners, freelancers and creatives.
We bring twelve people together, once every month or two, for a hosted day built around focus, structure and real conversations (the kind you actually want to have).
It’s packed with good work, good company and good coffee.
The structure
9am Arrive, meet your new coworkers + order coffee
9.20am Welcome with intros + set your goals for the day
9.40am Work block
10.30am Morning tea
11am Work blocks + micro breaks
12.30pm Lunch
1.15pm Back into focus
1.30pm Work blocks, short breaks + afternoon tea
3.40pm Wrap-up + reflection
4pm Done (and feeling smug)
Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are all included, so the only thing you need to think about is your to-do list. You’ll get solid work time and the kind of quiet accountability that makes focus feel easy.
Working at home
Start the day “just checking emails”
Lose an hour to admin or errands
Eat lunch at your desk
Finish wondering what you achieved and moving your to-do list to tomorrow
Working at WRK HRS
Start with a plan and a coffee
Knock out the thing you’ve been avoiding
Eat lunch with actual humans
Leave knowing exactly what you did
There’s structure
The day runs in short, hosted sprints. You don’t have to think, just show up, plug in and follow the rhythm.
Why it works
There’s calm
Breaks are built in, not earned. The quiet buzz of people getting stuff done keeps you steady.
There’s company
Everyone’s running their own thing and doing their own work. We’re all in it together for easy accountability and the kind of motivation you can’t fake.
You’ll be quietly wondering why you didn’t do this sooner
By 10am, you’re in flow. By lunch, the hardest task is done. By 4pm, you pack up lighter, clearer and quietly proud. Maybe even a little smug.
You deserve real progress, not another “busy” day spent bouncing between tabs and telling yourself it counts.
Focus + coffee + company - distractions = actual progress
Still thinking about it?
If you’ve been telling yourself you can just do the same thing at home, you’re not wrong, but you probably won’t.
That’s not laziness. That’s reality. Focus is easier when the structure’s built in and someone else is telling you when to work and when to take a break.
If you’re worried about taking a day out, that’s exactly who this is for. One clear day of working on your business pays for itself in the days that follow.
If you’re nervous about not knowing anyone, you’ll fit right in. Everyone here runs their own thing. It’s friendly, not forced.
And if you’re wondering whether it’s worth the $110, hopefully you're pricing yourself correctly and that’s just 1-2 client hours. You’ll get your week back, and probably a few ideas while you’re at it.
FAQ
Need more info or have a question that’s not answered? Reach out, we’re happy to help.
What actually happens during the day?
We kick off at 9 am with coffee, a quick check-in and a plan. You’ll work in focused sprints through the day, with breaks and lunch included. By 4 pm, you’ll have real progress to show for it.
Is this networking?
Nope. It’s working, but with company. There’ll be time to chat over coffee and lunch, but mostly, you’re here to get things done.
Do I need to know anyone?
Not at all. Everyone’s running their own thing, so it’s easy to fit in. There’s no small talk pressure or awkward let-me-sell-you-my-thing, promise.
I’m not from Wagga. Is it worth the drive?
People travel hours for a reason. We’ve had people come from Griffith, Albury, Narrandera and even the Southern Highlands. It’s a full day, allowing you to focus with good food and (almost) no distractions. You’ll thank yourself on the drive home.
Can I leave early?
Yep. Life happens. The rhythm still helps, even if you duck out early.
Can I work on any type of task?
Absolutely! From admin to creative projects to planning, this is your space to work your way.
What should I bring?
Your laptop, charger and your top priorities. We’ll handle the food, coffee and structure.
What if I buy a ticket and then can’t make it?
Plans change. We get it. Here’s what we can do about it…
Refunds
• Full refund if requested 14+ days before the event.
• 50% refund if requested 7-13 days before.
• No refund within 7 days.
Transfers
• Give your seat to someone else at any time, even on the day. Just email Rach.
• Move your ticket to a future date if you let us know 5+ days ahead.
If we cancel or reschedule, you’ll get the option to move to a new date or take a full refund.
What if I have a Zoom meeting?
No worries. Quiet spaces are available for calls, so you can stay productive without disrupting others. If you can let us know what time your call is, we’ll arrange things so you’re not disturbed. BYO headphones.
Is the venue accessible?
Our venue is accessible with ramp access. We’re committed to creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
What if I need special accommodations?
Just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable.
Meet your host, Rach
Copywriter. Business owner. Former serial procrastinator.
By day, I’m a copywriter and content strategist for regional tourism and events brands. By other days, I run WRK HRS, the coworking club I wish existed when I started out.
I believe that working for yourself doesn’t have to mean working by yourself. I’ve been the person trying to focus between client calls and packing the dishwasher, and I know how much a clear, structured day can make a difference.
When I started freelancing back in 2018, I faced a steep learning curve. Once I found coworking, I was hooked and now I’ve brought that experience in person. I’ve seen the same thing again and again: when people get the right environment, they get things done and actually enjoy it.
That’s what WRK HRS is about. Calm energy, strong coffee and a room full of people quietly doing their thing.
I’ll walk you through the rhythm so you always know what’s next and by the end of the day, you’ll leave lighter, clearer, and (maybe surprisingly) excited to open your laptop again tomorrow.
Can’t wait to meet you.
P.S. If you ever came to a Cool Wow Collective coworking day, this is that, just with a new name and a little extra somethin’.
Proof it’s not just vibes
"I’m usually a bit shy walking into new spaces, so I was nervous about coming along, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It's a really nice mix of people, and I've made some great biz friends. Now I look forward to each coworking day to catch up with everyone. It gets me out of the house, keeps me accountable and gives me that rare chance to actually work on my business instead of just in it."
— Jess Geppert, Brand Strategist + Web Designer, Storytold Studio
“I thought I may not be too productive in-person because I like to talk and I was very excited about being around people, however I was way more productive than when I'm on my own! I'm easily distracted at home by washing, Netflix and going outside.
The structure is great, everyone was head down during the work sessions which meant I had to be too (even when I wanted to chat). Having the extra space available for meetings was handy as well. It was a really fun and productive day. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one!”
— Karly Fynn, Event Manager, Turnstyle Events
Down with cubicles.
Up with coffee, structure and good company.
Your move
You can keep trying to force focus at home. You can keep telling yourself you’ll catch up next week. Or you can take one day, step out of the noise and see what happens when structure does the heavy lifting.
